Order Process

Legacy Monument Design requires a written proposal, signed by the purchaser, prior to any order being placed. The proposal will list all aspects of the order to include size, color, lettering, installation, as well as total job cost. A drawing of the proposed monument/memorial will be provided for the purchaser’s review. A signed drawing is required for each order. Legacy Monument Design is not responsible for any errors that the purchaser approves.

Cemetery Regulations

Legacy Monument Design will do everything in its power to ensure that each monument/memorial sold meets the requirements of the cemetery in which it is to be installed. It is, however, ultimately the responsibility of the purchaser that the monument/memorial conforms to cemetery regulations.

Cemetery Installation + Inspection Fees

Certain cemeteries impose installation and/or inspection fees. Any such fees will be detailed on the monument proposal and must be paid at the time of the order.

Natural Materials

When purchasing a monument or memorial, the purchaser acknowledges that granite and marble are natural materials with variations in color and characteristics.

Sales Tax

State sales tax will be added to each order at a rate of 5%.

Payment

Legacy Monument Design requires a deposit of 50% at the time of the order, plus any cemetery installation/inspection fees. The remaining balance will be billed to the purchaser after installation and is due within 30 days. We accept cash, check, or the following credit cards: Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express.

 

Miscellaneous

Legacy Monument Design agrees to re-level the monument/ memorial, for a period of two years from the date of installation, if settling occurs. Legacy Monument Design is not responsible for damage to the monument/ memorial, due to vandalism, routine cemetery maintenance, or attempts to clean the monument/memorial, after installation. The price of the monument/memorial does not include future engraving, such as dates of death. This service will be priced at time of need.
